Digital LOTO / LOTOTO for industry

We digitalise LOTOTO according to your site’s rules.

For industrial operations. We digitalise energy isolation, permits to work, authorisations, approvals and documentation the way you actually run them. We don’t fit your process to the software; we fit the software to your process.

Software does not replace physical lockout, tagout or Tryout. It helps you manage, coordinate and document them.

Starting point

One piece of equipment.Several energies.Several people. One traceable process.

Before working on equipment, maintenance needs to know reliably which energies must be isolated, who carried out each step and who is still working on it. Today this information is often spread across several places.

Often scattered today

  • Paper permitsSignatures and job status on paper that exists in one physical place.
  • SpreadsheetsEquipment, locks and authorisations in files that need keeping in sync.
  • Phone callsApproval or completion agreed verbally, with no record of who confirmed it.
  • People’s experienceKey context sits with specific people who may not be on shift.
In one placeJob data, confirmations and the next step, which only opens once the required confirmations are recorded.

With several trades, parallel jobs and shift changes, keeping an up-to-date overview gets harder. Checking whether the conditions to start work or to release the equipment are met takes time and careful coordination.

Digitalisation pays off already when a job is prepared: it brings the necessary data into one place and only opens the next step once the confirmations your procedure requires have been recorded.

Our approach

We don’t adapt your process to the software. We adapt the software to your process.

There is no single LOTOTO workflow that fits every site. First we understand how your procedure works, and only then do we digitalise it.

The differences go beyond approvals

  • ApprovalsDifferent approval levels and responsible people.
  • AuthorisationsRules for workers, trades, equipment and plant areas.
  • Equipment identificationYour own identifiers, technical tags or group standards.
  • Work groupsRules for coordinating several groups on one piece of equipment.
  • DocumentationYour own forms, permits, inspection records and approvals.
  • Work instructionsInstructions by equipment and type of work.

Same type of equipment, different identifiers

  • Site BTechnical tagCV-204

Your equipment. Your identifiers. Our system adapts. You don’t have to change how you identify equipment for new software. We work with your existing identifiers.

Illustrative examples of how the same type of equipment (a conveyor) may be identified.

Every site does it differently

  • Who can request a lockout?
  • Who isolates each energy?
  • Who approves, and for which equipment or areas?
  • How is equipment identified at your site?
  • How is Tryout carried out and recorded?
  • Who takes over the key, lock or tag?
  • How do groups, substitution and handovers work?
  • Which documents does high-risk work need?
  1. 01EquipmentThe worker comes to the equipment
  2. 02QR codeThe label identifies the equipment
  3. 03Phone or tabletThe procedure opens in the browser
  4. 04Text, photos, videoInstructions and media for this equipment

Digital work instructions

QR code → interactive work instructions.

Are your work instructions on paper or in a PDF?

We can turn them into an interactive procedure available right at the equipment. The worker scans the QR code with a phone or tablet and is guided step by step. It is not just a PDF on a phone: steps can be confirmed and, where your site requires it, recorded.

Tailored service
  • Written instructions
  • Photos of the equipment and its parts
  • Video guides
  • Individual work steps
  • Safety warnings
  • Checklists
  • Sign-off of completed tasks
  • Related documents and forms

One piece of equipment, several procedures

  • Shutdown
  • LOTOTO
  • Routine maintenance
  • Service job
  • Inspection
  • Return to service

Access to procedures can be tied to user permissions. The QR code identifies the equipment; it does not replace sign-in or permission checks.

We deliver digital work instructions as a service tailored to your site. It is not a ready-made module of the current application; the scope is defined during implementation.

Existing technology

The technology exists. We fit the process to you.

We don’t start from scratch. The foundation is a working LOTOTO application proven in an industrial operation. We configure it for you and extend it where needed.

01You know who locked the equipment.

Each energy is confirmed by its isolator with a lock number and time.

02You know who is still working.

Groups join the lockout. While any of them is active, the equipment cannot be unlocked.

03You know what you are waiting for.

A partly completed process is visible: which energy is confirmed and which is not yet.

● Proven in operation
  • Isolation energy by energy “Locked” applies only once every energy is confirmed.
  • Several work groups Unlocking is blocked while a group is active.
  • Substitution The record keeps who actually performed the step.
  • Roles and authorisations Approval per equipment, energies per worker type.
  • QR identification Label printing and equipment selection by scanning in the browser.
  • Audit trail and archive Who did or changed what and when.
○ On request, to fit your site
  • Digital work instructions Paper and PDF procedures as interactive steps
  • How Tryout is recorded Designed around your rules
  • Key, lock or tag handover Recorded according to your procedure
  • RFID cards and kiosk stations Depending on your card system and workplace
  • Workflow, approvals and documents According to your internal rules
  • Digital forms and documents Filled in, approved and archived directly in the application

LOTOTO reference

LOTOTO in industrial practice

Experience from a real industrial operation.

We digitalised the LOTOTO process at the Danucem cement plant. We now bring that experience from a real operation, especially in coordinating work groups, isolating each energy separately and handling substitutions, to other sites.

  • Cement plant
  • Coordinating work groups
  • Isolation energy by energy
  • Substitution

Next step

Show us your LOTOTO process.

We don’t sell a ready-made package. We start by understanding how you work today: who requests, who approves, who isolates and which documents you use. Then we work out together what is worth digitalising.
